Through the eyes of alumni

Graduates rate the completed MBA programs well. The average rating they gave the programs was 4.2 out of 5 points. The Executive MBA Poznań-Atlanta program, organized by the Poznań University of Economics, was rated best.

We learned how graduates rate MBA programs from a survey conducted by CBM Indicator. Graduates rated the program in 4 categories: staffing, substantive features of the program, extent of post-graduation support and benefits of the degree.  Staff was rated best with 4.4 out of 5 points, while graduate support after completing the program received only 3.8 points out of a possible 5.

Quality of research and teaching staff

In the survey, graduates evaluated: the level of knowledge imparted, the quality of the classes, the atmosphere during classes, the individualization of contact and the manner in which students' doubts were resolved. The leader in this category turned out to be the Executive MBA Poznań-Atlanta program from the Poznań University of Economics.

Graduates praised the atmosphere in the classes the most, with 4.75 points out of 5. As many as 9 out of 34 programs received the maximum number of points in this category. The quality of the classes was rated at 4.35 points, and the level of knowledge imparted was rated at 4.33 points, as was the resolution of disputes, only slightly lower at 4.28 points was the category of contact with students. The average score of the survey was 4.4 out of a maximum of 5 points.

The content value of the program

The substantive value of the program received an average score of 4.2 out of 5 points. Graduates were asked to assess the value of the theoretical and practical knowledge imparted, the value of the soft competencies imparted (managerial, relational), the innovativeness of the subject matter undertaken (AI technology, ESG aspects, climate, etc.) and the selection of the right amount of material imparted. Here again, the leader was the Executive MBA Poznań-Atlanta, closely followed by the Executive SGH-WUM MBA in Health Care and the Executive MBA of Leon Kozminski University.

The highest rating was given to the value of the "soft" (managerial, relational) competencies imparted - 4.34 out of 5 points. Slightly worse is the innovativeness of the topics addressed by the program - none received the maximum number of points, and the average is only 4 points.

Scope of support

Graduates did not rate the university's post-MBA assistance the best. Programs received an average of only 3.8 points out of a possible 5. First place in this category goes to the International MBA in Strategy, Program and Project Management program run by the Faculty of Management and Economics at Gdansk University of Technology. Graduates were assessed on 5 criteria: activities of the alumni association; meetings with business practitioners; facilitation of contacts with potential employers; offer to deepen qualifications at seminars and conferences; and opportunities for direct consultation of graduates with university staff. By far the weakest rating was given by graduates for opportunities to contact potential employers - 3.45 points out of a possible 5. The best in this category was the evaluation of opportunities for direct consultation of graduates with university staff - 4.02 points.

Diploma evaluation

The benefit of obtaining a diploma was rated much better than the extent of graduate support - 4.3 points out of a possible 5.

Graduates evaluated: the rank and reputation of their own MBA degree - in relation to such studies offered by other centers in Poland. They answered the question to what extent the completed MBA met their expectations, to what extent it allowed them to achieve their goals, and whether the graduate would recommend the study to another person?

Here, too, the leader was the Executive MBA Poznań-Atlanta program from the Poznań University of Economics.

The survey shows that graduates would be willing to recommend the MBA program to another person - this criterion received 4.35 points out of a possible 5. Slightly lower at 4.05 points was the ability to achieve the goals that graduates set for themselves after completing the MBA program.
